About Lizzie
I’m Dr. Lizzie Sobel, a perinatal and pediatric chiropractor and owner of Wholesome Healing Chiropractic, located in Needham, MA. I first found chiropractic when I was twelve years old and suffered from daily headaches and back pain. Seeing a chiropractor regularly was the only solution that offered me any relief, and also gave me a newfound calm and awareness in my body. I’ve been a committed patient ever since.
After earning my Bachelor's degree in Physical Anthropology and Sculpture from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, I worked for several environmental education centers and for the American Cancer Society before deciding to travel to Guatemala for several months to study Spanish and travel. It was on this adventure that I realized my true professional calling was chiropractic.
I graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2012 and then continued my chiropractic education with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association to start gaining the knowledge and skills to work with pregnant, postpartum, and pediatric clients. I take yearly continuing education classes in perinatal care, pediatrics, lactation, and oral feeding restrictions. In 2016 I was certified as a childbirth educator through the Boston Association of Childbirth Education. In 2024 I completed training as a support group leader through NAPS (Newborn and Parenting Support).
I use gentle, low force techniques to help my clients find balance, reduce pain, and feel ease in their bodies from pregnancy to postpartum. I also love supporting infants and kids of all ages with overall health and function, symmetry, and specific developmental and musculoskeletal concerns.
I am honored to support new and expecting families as they navigate the often overwhelming and vulnerable time of pregnancy and early parenting. I aim to validate and empower my clients’ experiences, while ensuring they have all the resources and support they need to thrive and trust their intuition as parents.
When I’m not in the office, I am spending time with my family and friends, hiking, baking, traveling, or reading a good book. I live in Norwood, MA with my husband, Paul, our two daughters, and our two black cats.
